Novel and Sustainable Pathways of Biomass Production - Szczecin - Kobylanka, 19-20 September 2018Challenging and competitive market conditions in the European bio-economy have led to increasingly intensified agricultural cultivation practices. However, these practices have had ecologically adverse impacts such as high nitrate leaching, excessive soil erosion, and the loss of insect and bird populations in agricultural areas. Hence, a reorientation of agricultural management practices that provides increased production and utilization of natural resources as well as ecological sustainability is needed. This conference highlights the latest international research on biomass plants that can be used help to mitigate some of these ecological challenges. Particular focus will be given to the pla

You can help us in the project! The cultivation of Sida is currently still in its infancy in Germany. The scientific aim of this project is the evaluation of Sida biomass, for the biogas production, for biomass heating and as raw material for a recycling in the field of biopolymers and natural fibers. In particular, the quantitative and qualitative characteristics for a raw material supply are examined and elaborated. In addition, field investigations will be carried out at various test sites in Germany, Poland, England and Italy. Accordingly, the evaluation of cultivation criteria with regard to seed and young plant use is in the foreground. In addition, the site adaptability, biological sustainability and efficiency are covered by enthomological investigations of this culture. As part of th
